Mud Pools, Rotorua

One of our favorite geothermal features in Rotorua were the (free) mud pools.  Watching them bubble was mesmerizing.

These mini geysers spit up little mud blobs every few seconds.

The whole area smelled of sulfur.

View from the top lookout.

The sound effects were fun, too!

Afterwards, we drove to a secluded campsite.

Sunrise - Autumn in NZ.

Another beautiful day.
