Oamaru Steampunk Headquarters

First opened in 2011, the Oamaru Steampunk Headquarters is an art collective and the unofficial headquarters of all things steampunk in New Zealand.  The building used to be one of the tallest in the southern hemisphere.  It was built in 1883 and had a total of 5 stories, but a fire in 1920 destroyed the top 2 floors.

The building itself is made from famous Oamaru limestone.

The train outside the museum blows smoke and fire.

The organ doesn't play, but they have plans to make it work.

In the back you can see the H.M.S. Hunter, "a curious ship unearthed in the Cerberus quadrant of Ursa Major.  Supposedly used to transport the dead to their new home in the Underworld, but actually a front for smuggling fine Colonial Tea and Biscuits.  The fearsome chap at the helm hides the vessel's true purpose."
