The last part of our second, and final, day at Mount Cook was a short walk up to see the Tasman Glacier and the "Blue Lakes".
The road to the last glacier on our docket.
Tasman River Valley.
One of the " blue" lakes. The recession of the glaciers means that the clear blue water no longer flows into this lake, and therefore it is now green.
Tasman Lake and Tasman Glacier in the back!
Glacier close-up. It is covered in dirt and rocks, though it's still quite large.
One of my (many) epic fails in self-timed picture taking. I hope to die without ever having used a "selfie stick" though. :)
Another view of the blue lake.
