Lake Pukaki

Mount Cook is only about 20 miles from the western shore of New Zealand.  Unfortunately, because of the mountain range, there is no road going west; I guess the only way through is to walk.  Which we were unwilling to do.  So, we got back in our trusty van and drove back east.  On the way we stopped for a few pictures of Lake Pukaki with Mount Cook behind it - on the way in the weather was not as clear.

We were not the only ones enjoying the view.  One girl was photographing herself in obnoxious pseudo-acrobatic poses on a rock - she fell on her butt.  She wasn't hurt and her phone was fine, so we had a good laugh.  Guess she needs a selfie stick!

And one more for the road.
