Invercargill is a small city, though much larger than Bluff, but not very touristy. We enjoyed the more laid-back, working town feel.

H&J Smith Civic Theater, 1906.
Clock tower in the center of town.
Former Grand Hotel, 1913.
St. Mary's Basilica, 1905.
We spent a fair bit of time at the Southland Museum. One of the exhibits was about subantarctic islands where Albatross nest.
They also had an exhibit on The Fastest Indian, a motorcycle that beat the world land speed record in the Utah Salt Flats in the 1960s.
Here's a picture of Burt, the original driver.
