We spent a day walking around downtown Adelaide. Our overall impression is that it is a nice, sparse city with lots of parks and trees and a nice downtown area.
We checked out the South Australia museum; lots of nature and Aboriginal art. Nice place to spend a few hours.
Parliament building.
View from the Riverbank bridge, opened in 2014.
Oval stadium! Also pretty new.
Inside the stadium.
St. Francis Xavier Church.
Main altar.
Stained glass.
Organ pipes.
Page from a leather medieval book that had been used as book binding material in 1631. It was donated to the church.
We found Sir Ronald Fisher's ashes! He is interred here. The "Father of Modern Statistics" died in Adelaide in 1962.
Very Australian; koala crossing sign!
Gorgeous church and nice pipe organ! :)
