We came back to KL for a few days before our flight to Vietnam. We had a few more things to see in town, starting with a walk through Chinatown to the Islamic Art Museum. It's a really neat museum - my favorite exhibit was a wedding invitation in the Persian style from 1888 - it was interesting to see that wedding invites are not all that different in our society today. Caryl really liked the peacock chairs - apparently they flap their wings when you adjust your weight in the chair! Unfortunately they wouldn't let us try them out. Also interesting was a gun in the shape of a cougar and a powder container made out of 3 large shells. From the top floor of the museum we had a great view of the National Mosque - a huge, new mosque built in the museum/park part of town.
After the museum we walked over to the old Kuala Lumpur train station, which is still in use, but is no longer the central station.
