Carl visited us for two weeks. Although my camera broke right before his visit, I was able to take some pictures with the tablet - while far from perfect, it enabled me to document the trip until we purchased a replacement. Which took a while, as I took my old camera to be fixed. However, while only one piece was broken, the repair would cost about the same as purchasing a new camera. Sounds wasteful to replace the whole thing...
Anyway, we first spent a little bit of time in Krakow, exploring the downtown:
A boat ride on the Wisla River, complete with a view of the Wawel castle:
And of course the Krakow dragon:
We then took a day trip to the Wieliczka salt mine, the largest salt mine in Poland. But first, we had lunch in the town of Wieliczka, where we found a cool perspective sidewalk art piece of the mine:
Different angle:
Inside the mine:
My uncles and aunt suggested we spend a few days together in Zakopane, a tourist town at the southern border of Poland. This is the best skiing place in Poland and the highest mountain range we have.

Fun times:
And a BBQ on our patio after our return:
