Three days in London, UK

London was a nice change from our time in Mexico/Central America. It was comforting to be in a country where everyone speaks English and everything is familiar, except for the roads of course. I never really got used to the cars driving on the other side. But London is lovely; people are helpful and friendly, the sights are amazing. The weather was much cooler, which was both a nice change from the heat of Mexico, but it also made traveling a bit less comfortable.

Here I am, getting ready for our first full day in London:

View from the train ride into the city center:

London Eye:

Palace of Westminster:

Back of Westminster Abbey:

Caryl getting a close-up view:

Big Ben:

Nice to see people care about Ukraine:

Trafalgar Square:

Caryl and I agree: the public urinals are nasty! You have to smell it to believe it.

On our way to St. James's Park:

So many birds!!!

And one more :)

Almost at Buckingham Palace:

Very grateful to have rain jackets:

Almost time for dinner:

We missed fresh salads in Mexico (fearing stomach problems, we avoided leafy veggies) so we got a salad and hot soup at the familiar Pret (a frequented lunch place in DC):

Chinatown:

Joanna, this one's for you!

A few night pics:

And here we are, back in the hotel, getting ready for bed! London in a day.
