Marrakesh

We took another grand taxi to Marrakesh, but this time paid for 3 seats, which made the trip a little more comfortable. The ride took about 3 hours. Marrakesh is a crazy city - tons of magnificent things to see, but also a lot of tourists, and therefore a lot of people trying to make money off of them. For example, we went to a restaurant on the main square for a snack. Immediately after sitting down they started bringing food that we did not order, a common scam we had heard about. We were able to tell them what we wanted, but even still, when the check came they had charged us extra for 2 orders of bread and sauce (which I didn't even eat), which was about a third of the bill. Little interactions like this happened all the time, making it a more stressful environment. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the sights and the action-packed atmosphere. When not hanging out at the main square or getting lost in the medina we saw the Bahia Palace, the Ali Ben Youssef Madrasa (Koranic school), and the Saadian tombs.
